# OutputEase Toolkit > MIT-licensed scaffolding CLI (`@outputease/toolkit`, v0.4.7). One command writes the AGENTS.md instructions, spec-driven workflows, MCP wiring, and engineering docs an AI agent reads first, generated in each agent's native format. Everything below is generated from the package itself at build time. For the same data as JSON, fetch https://toolkit.outputease.com/facts.json. ## Install ``` bunx @outputease/toolkit init ``` Global install: `bun add -g @outputease/toolkit` or `npm install -g @outputease/toolkit`, then `outputease init`. Bootstrap script: `curl -fsSL https://toolkit.outputease.com/install.sh | sh`. The CLI bootstraps the Bun runtime on first run when Bun is missing; set `OE_NO_BUN_BOOTSTRAP=1` to opt out. ## Commands - `outputease init`: Scaffold a new project interactively or from a preset - `outputease update`: Refresh the agent configuration and spec-kit tooling in an existing scaffolded project - `outputease upgrade`: Update the globally-installed outputease CLI to the latest published version - `outputease speckit`: Install, refresh, or verify spec-kit (github/spec-kit) in this project - `outputease agents`: Generate, check, apply, and migrate agent configuration from the neutral source ## Presets Skip the prompts with `outputease init --preset `. - `--preset web-app`: Full-stack Web App with Next.js + Tailwind CSS - `--preset content-site`: Content site with Astro + Tailwind CSS - `--preset mobile-app`: Cross-platform mobile app with Capacitor + React - `--preset desktop-app`: Desktop app with Tauri + React - `--preset cli-tool`: CLI tool with Bun + Commander - `--preset library`: Shared TypeScript library package - `--preset web-app-supabase`: Full-stack Web App with Next.js + Tailwind + Supabase - `--preset web-app-standalone`: Full-stack Web App with Next.js + Tailwind + Neon + BetterAuth - `--preset web-app-node`: Full-stack Web App with Next.js + Tailwind + Node.js runtime Add to an existing monorepo with `--scope workspace-app` or `--scope workspace-package`. ## Agent targets Claude Code, OpenAI Codex CLI, Gemini CLI, OpenCode, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Windsurf / Devin. Pick any combination at init with `--agents claude, codex`; each gets its native config generated from one neutral `.agents/` source. ## What a scaffolded project gets - 15 slash-command skills: /a11y-review, /capture, /checkpoint, /commit, /continue, /dev-check, /develop-idea, /first-run, /gen-test, /load-context, /new-component, /quickstart, /security-review, /session-end, /speckit-archive - 12 Claude Code hooks wired across SessionStart, UserPromptSubmit, PreToolUse, PostToolUse, Stop on a bun project. Every hook file ships either way; outside bun only the four PreToolUse guards are wired. - 4 subagents: accessibility-reviewer, dependency-auditor, i18n-reviewer, test-writer - 17 engineering handbook templates seeded into docs/ - 8 pre-approved commands in settings.json, so routine work does not stop for a permission prompt - 9 plugins and MCP servers wired without asking on a web app with Supabase, plus 12 more offered at init, out of a 21 entry catalogue - MCP servers in the generated .mcp.json on that path: context7, playwright, supabase - A 235-tool dev-stacks dataset the CLI resolves dependencies from: https://toolkit.outputease.com/dev-stacks.json ## Data - https://toolkit.outputease.com/facts.json: this inventory as JSON - https://toolkit.outputease.com/dev-stacks.json: the full 235-entry tool dataset - https://toolkit.outputease.com/install.sh: the bootstrap installer - https://github.com/outputease-inc/toolkit: source, README, issues - https://www.npmjs.com/package/@outputease/toolkit: published package ## Page sections https://toolkit.outputease.com/#install, #scaffold, #build, #inside, #workflow, #presets, #stacks, #update, #api, #docs
